An anonymous source is keeping its word when it came to releasing over 1,000 KKK members' information.
On Sunday there was a list containing 57 phone numbers and 23 email addresses. The leak is centered around a massive social media hashtag called, "#HoodsOff." Many Republican officials were reportedly named on the list and of course as expected they responded saying this was false.
Jim Gray, Lexington, KY Mayor states that he has never been affiliated with the KKK and does not know why his name was mentioned.
"This allegation is false, insulting and ridiculous. I have never had any relationship of any kind with the KKK. I am opposed to everything it stands for. I have no idea where this information came from, but wherever it came from, it is wrong."
The anonymous source is expected to list the rest of their 1,000 names to the public by Thursday.
According to Complex, "This act of protest is intentionally timed to mark the first anniversary of the grand jury’s decision not to prosecute Darren Wilson in the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, whose death in Ferguson inspired protests against police brutality all across the nation."
