Eddie Murphy accepted the Mark Twain Prize for Humor, with a Bill Cosby Impersonation.

The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor took place on Oct. 18, and Murphy's impersonation is what made the headlines. Earlier this year Murphy made headlines for not wanting to impersonate Cosby on SNL while he was down and in the middle of all the allegations against him. Murphy was happy to be recognized with his contributions to the show, but did not want to "kick Cosby while he was down." Cosby heard about this and stated, "I am very appreciative of Eddie and I applaud his actions."

At the Mark Twain Prize for Humor however, Murphy had a change of heart and began his acceptance speech as following, "It's a wonderful thing to be included with some of my heroes – Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Carl Reiner, Lily Tomlin, who else? Bill … Bill has one of these," Murphy then began to impersonate Cosby.

"He should just do one show where he comes out and talk crazy now; 'I would like to talk to, some of the people, who feel that I should give back my fucking trophy...Just because you may have heard recently that I allegedly put pills in the people's [drinks]," Murphy continued with his impersonation. "I'm not giving back shit!'"
