Vin Diesel has been hinting at more Fast and Furious movies for some time now. "I promised the studio I would deliver one last trilogy to end the saga," he wrote on Facebook back in September. Well, I guess for Diesel, one and three aren’t too different.
Diesel is currently filming xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, which is scheduled to air theatres in 2016. However, when it comes to exciting news like this, he can switch his characters.
In a Instagram post of a photo of him and his seven year-old-daughter, Hania, he wrote, “Happy Toretto Tuesday…P.s. The studio has asked me to release some very big Fast news... Give me a minute though, for I am still in that Xander state of Mind.”
Diesel made it official early Wednesday morning that we’re getting three more Fast and Furious movies through an Instagram post reading “2 Decades 10 Films 1 Saga.” The post also included the release dates April 14, 2017, for the eighth film; April 19, 2019, for the ninth; and April 2, 2021, for the 10th.
The eighth Fast and Furious is already in the process with Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray taking the roll as director.
