Now here's a store that will give you an experience that will make you finally know what walking on 'eggshells' is actually like.
According to the author staff at Hypebeast:
"Ceramics from the region of Hasami are amongst the most renowned in Japan, and here find new life within the retail space of compatriot manufacturer Maruhiro. Instead of throwing away “seconds” – that is, pieces of homeware deemed unusable by the manufacturer – the Hasami-made pieces have been recycled by Yusuke Seki Design Studio to comprise a new installation within the space. The 25,000 piece installation is meant to celebrate the longstanding heritage of ceramics in the region, while also cleverly creating a platform for Hasami’s pottery."
A really interesting take on design, this is a clear representation of recycling. As amazing as this is, this layout just seems to be an accident waiting to happen. Visit and walk on this display's floor at your own risk.
What's your thoughts on this floorplan? - literally.
