After 21 seasons, Kevin Garnett announced earlier today via IG that he is calling it a career. Dubbed as one of the all-time greats, Garnett leaves a solid legacy and career run with the Minnesota Timberwolves, leading the franchise to eight consecutive playoff appearances. From his 2003-04, Garnett averaged 24.2 points, 13.9 rebounds and 5 assists per game solidifying his power, aggression and all around athleticism.
His run with the Celtics was nothing short of history, forming the Big 3 with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to capture the NBA title during their 2007 season. Fast forward to his brief run with the Brooklyn Nets and short-lived return to Minnesota, it was Garnett's classic trash talking that made us either love or hate him. Either way, his athleticism will go unquestioned. He will be missed by NBA fans everywhere. But his legacy will inspire future generations of NBA players who are just as intense, passionate and often outspoken about the sport.
