Yesterday was the first day for Andre Anderson, Ferguson, Mo's new interim police chief.
Anderson stated in a news conference on Wednesday that he wants to work on building the trust between the city's residents and the police force. By doing this, he will put into place community policing and work to reshape the police department to "reflect the demographics of" Ferguson. via
According to the Washington Post, the city is two-thirds, or about 67%, black.
This all comes at the end of the shooting death of Michael Brown last year and investigations that showed racially charged emails sent by Ferguson policemen and officials.
