So, how is Nike able to stop athletes from signing to Under Armour?
Well, according to a report from CBS Sports, Nike is creating and scheduling a summer basketball game this month that will rival Under Armour's annual Elite 24 high school basketball game. This annual Under Armour event is scheduled for Aug. 20-22 while Nike now has their high school game set for Aug. 20-22.
What does this do?
It makes some of the top high school prospects decide between the Nike or Under Armour event.
Nike isn't just trying to beat Under Armour, they literally want them to have no ability to compete. For example, Under Armour's game is in NYC while Nike will fly players out to the Bahamas for their event.
