Most people just get divorced from their spouse and move, but one man decided to try and have his wife killed in place of that.
Noela Rukundo from Melbourne, Australia showed up at what was supposed to be her funeral, but what now adds to her lawsuit.
According to Vibe, Balenga Kalala, Rukundo's husband of 10 years hired a team of hitmen to kill his wife. Kalala offered the men several thousand of dollars to carry out the act because he felt that Rukundo would leave him for another man. Clearly, the hitmen didn't kill her, because she showed up at the end of her funeral service and said "surprise, I'm still alive!"
The hitmen didn't kill her because they don't believe in killing women, and let her go. They told her everything, and even gave her a receipt of the $7,000 used to pay them. In addition, they gave her a phone with the conversations between her husband and them. Rukundo came and the end of her funeral service and remembered him saying “Is it my eyes? Is it a ghost?”
Kalala is now in jail, and left Rukundo to raise their 8 children alone. “I will stand up like a strong woman,” she said. “My situation, my past life? That is gone. I’m starting a new life now.”
