The Associated Press has announced that Pop singer Taylor Swift has volunteered $1,000,000 USD of her hard earned cash to assist the relief of Louisiana flood victims. Her contribution will help with the aid and efforts that help improve the unfortunate living circumstances many people face in Louisiana. From homelessness, clean clothes and hunger - all which will be provided all thanks to the '1989' birthchild herself.
Swift released a recent statement explaining why she gave up such a large amount.
"We began The 1989 World Tour in Louisiana, and the wonderful fans there made us feel completely at home," she said. "The fact that so many people in Louisiana have been forced out of their own homes this week is heartbreaking. I encourage those who can to help out and send your love and prayers their way during this devastating time."
Since the flooding, 11 lives have been taken due to it's happening - in addition to thousands of residential homes being permanently damaged, causing many people to lose shelter for their families.
Since late last week a total of 11 lives have been claimed due to the flooding, and thousands of homes have been damaged.
Alongside the kind hearted pop singer, other celebs have been generous in aiding victims in the midst of their current struggles, while also encouraging their fans to assist with donating. They include Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne, Ellen DeGeneres and Odell Beckham.
It's really nice to see when people who are blessed abundantly come together to help those in serious need. And besides, what's a few dollars to help when they all have more than the community in search for aid? Chump change (to them at least), no matter how you look at it. We know celebs can't help everybody - but it's nice to see them when they can.
