The Apple Watch Series 2 is now up for pre-order with a release  date set for September 16th.

Along with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple unveiled its second-generation smartwatch today in San Francisco, the Apple Watch Series 2. The design is mostly unchanged from its predecessor, featuring a customizable face housed in a square case, complemented by a digital crown for scrolling and zooming. The biggest changes to the device are the ones you can't see -- namely, the addition of a water-resistant "swimproof" shell, good for a 50-meter water resistance rating, and a new GPS chip. With the latter, users can avail themselves to mapping directly on their watch, no phone required. There's also a new S2 processor that's 50 percent faster than its predecessor, and double the graphics performance thanks to a new GPU. The display is also 50 percent brighter as well.
