Its finally here. The long awaited, highly anticipated 'dislike' button option on the Facebook network.
A long time ago, when Facebook was introduced to the world of social media, there were only but a few options. Now today, the website has more alternatives than a self serve ice cream parlor. It's newest feature in the works, allows users to express their disapproval towards something posted, similar to other platforms, like YouTube. CEO, Mark Zuckerberg and several other staff members have frowned on this idea in the past, but now are considering it in terms of company growth.
“I think people have asked about the dislike button for many years. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it,” said the Facebook founder. “What [users] really want is the ability to express empathy,” he continued to say. “Not every moment is a good moment.”
For now, lets just sit back and see how this thing pans out. What do you think? Yay or Nay?
