Essex five piece Courts have successfully crafted the perfect hazy summer sound with irresistible guitar solos, and vocals with bundles of energy. Making self-confessed “music with a message” the boys have received huge radio support from Huw Stephens (BBC Radio One, Ally & Jen (BBC Introducing), and BBC Essex. They were also championed last year by Zane Lowe and hailed as his last ever ‘Next Hype’ with their single “Part Of”.
Premiered via The 405, the boys have soared into 2016 with their breezily infectious summer hymn “Glass Half Empty”. The zesty track has had repeated spins on Beats 1 by Julie Adenuga championing it as a “great tune”. Showcasing their sheer breadth of talent, the rock-tingled cut lends itself to something truly unique, bringing back a guitar-heavy, summer sound “Glass Half Empty “ promises to cast your January blues away.
Made up of Dan, Luke, Reece, Chris and Joe the boys inspirations spans from Disco, Hip-hop, Indie and beyond, Courts are creating a hybrid genre, that’s almost impossible to define. Serving the purpose of filling an open gap on the UK Scene, the Essex boys are bringing back a guitar-infused sound that was heavily missed.
Having spent most of last year gigging and playing at Bestival, Boomtown and taking part in Converse Rubber Tracks the boys are looking forward to a summer of touring including forthcoming shows at London’s Shoreditch House.
