Essex five piece Courts have returned with their signature hazy summer sound, and a contagious chorus you wont get out of your head.
Making self-confessed “music with a message”, the boys have gone from strength to strength in the last year. With huge radio support on their last single “Glass Half Empty” from Julie Adenuga (Beats1) Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens (BBC Radio One), the track was also championed by Sir Elton John and hailed as Beats1 ‘UK Represented’.
Made up of Dan, Luke, Reece, Chris and Joe the boys inspirations spans from Disco, Hip-hop, Indie and beyond. Fusing soundscapes, comforting guitar solos and care-free raps, Courts are creating a hybrid genre, that’s almost hard to define.
Premiered via NME, new single “No Lie” balances energetic vocals and playful guitar solos with an irresistibly up-beat summer sound. Laying rapid rhymes over an immensely catchy instrumental, the track showcases the boys unique and honest manner.
"There no doubt in our minds that Courts is one of 2016's most exciting international groups to listen to. And that's 'No lie'." - HYPEFRESH, Inc.
Courts gained support in 2014 with their single "Part Of" from Zane Lowe who hailed them as his last ever ‘Next Hype’ and spent the most part of 2015 gigging and playing festivals at Bestival, Boomtown and taking part in Converse Rubber Tracks.
Serving the purpose of filling an open gap on the UK Scene, the Essex boys are bringing back a guitar-infused sound that was heavily missed. The boys are looking forward to a string of gigs and festivals this year including headlining Club NME at KOKO, Secret Garden Party festival and headlining their show at The Chinnerys.
