Rapper Tut, in a new joint effort with Isaiah Rashad, today dropped track "G35." You can listen to the song on Tut's SoundCloud below.
The beat's pleasant and smooth feel supports Tut's intensity in his searing delivery, while Rashad's versatile appearance compliments the track in its own way.
Both artists are natives of Chattanooga, Tennessee and both have rose to relevance in hip hop through their distinctive musical styles. Rashad, who signed to label Top Dawg Entertainment three years ago, dropped a debut EP in January of 2014 titled "Cilvia Demo," which garnered positive reception. Tut dropped "Preacher's Son," a debut mixtape on January 5, 2015, that also received acclaim critically. The two have worked with each other in the past; they first met at college and Rashad was featured on Tut's mixtape.
This latest collab comes on the heels of news that Rashad's debut studio album is on the cusp of release. Just yesterday, a new loose track was dropped by Rashad.
Is the year of Rashad and Tennessee hip hop only just heating up?
