No time for play when your working. Agree?

Mark Myles, who's rising independently as a Hip Hop artist and music producer, takes a few minutes to chat with HYPEFRESH® about his latest single - "Workin' Nigga".

Tell us a bit from your backstory.

"Being from the west coast i grew up listening to rappers like E-40 and Too Short. First CD i bought with my own money was Jay-Z Life and times of S. Carter Vol. 3. Also listened to a lot of the Hot Boys when they first came out. Wayne, Juvi, BG, turk. Marshall Mathers LP, Life After Death, Blueprint, Black Album, and Trap Muzik are a couple of my favorite albums."

How'd you get your start in becoming a lyricist?

"I started making beats in college. Only rapped for fun and because I wanted to be like Kanye (lol). Over time I started to love music more and more but couldn't afford the equipment to make beats. So I started finding beats online and writing rhymes in my spare time. My ambition led me to Miami where i met Business Parnter/Manager, Dj Illusion soon after and we haven't looked back."

Your newest single... Though we can fathom the inspiration, define it for us from your first hand perspective.

"The inspiration for "Workin Nigga" came from all the hard work our whole Forever Dream team has put in this past year. And how i feel is... no matter what you might be going through, if you keep workin hard towards something you can make it happen. Plus the beat hard - which was an inspiration in itself (lol.)"

Tell us about your future moves, beyond this point. What's next for Mark Myles?

"My plan is to continue to put out good music that people can relate to. Continue to earn my stripes and earn respect. To be one of the best. Push the culture. Push my brand and the Forever Dream brand as far as possible. For me there are no limits. Our plan is to be legendary."
