Travi$ Scott’s .Wav party last month had plenty of memorable moments; but one of the greatest parts of the night had to be when Kanye West debuted the official remix of "Timmy Turner," the hit single by G.O.O.D. Music signee Desiigner.
The updated version, which was reportedly played off of someone’s phone, included a new verse by Ye. Though Desiigner did not attend the .Wav party, Scott FaceTimed the rapper while on stage and let him sing the hook into a microphone. Footage of the event shows that only 80 seconds of the track was played. On Tuesday, nearly a month after Ye dropped the sneak peek, DJ Funkmaster Flex came through with the full remix.
You can listen to the song below.
The original version of "Timmy Turner" was one of the most talked-about singles of the summer. Immediately after Desiigner dropped his XXL Freshman freestyle, in which we got our first taste of the track, fans practically began begging the Brooklyn artist for a full song. Upon its release, the cut was met with mixed reviews. The general consensus was that "Timmy Turner" didn't live up to the hype and was not as great as Desiigner's first hit single "Panda." But perhaps all the song needed was Kanye's Midas touch. We'll just have to wait to see how the fans and critics respond.
