Cali producer Markis Precise is loading up for the release of his debut album with his title track "The Feeling of Flying" featuring Brother Ali (Rhymesayers).
The track premiered via Nah Right as it showcases Precise's smooth and wavy production beneath Brother Ali's poetic, and conscience flow as he raps “I got a hole in my soul where the pain dug, and now I let it overflow when the rain comes,”
Brother Ali effectively captivates the smooth sailing vibe of Markis' "boom bap" drums and infectious guitar production. The Fresno native previously released his first single from the project entitled, "Kiss the Ring" which featured Elzhi and Fashawn. The track received praise from Mass Appeal as they stated:
"This one has a perfect summer vibe and a gentle hat tip to Dilla... Fashawn makes sure to let us know that he has 'massive appeal' on this joint and that 'This ain’t backpack rap."
The Feeling of Flying is a 15 year testimony following Markis's persuit of success as he made his way through the West Coast underground. The 13 track project also features appearances from Ras Kass, Zion I, Oddisee, The Grouch, SOL and Strong Arm Steady. This debut album marks an introduction for Markis' 15 year old grind and chance for him to raise the bar in sharing style, message, and the creative process.
