After Anaconda got snubbed for "Best Video of the Year" Minaj took to Twitter to show her displeasure.
Minaj fired off to MTV, slamming the network and its show showing how unhappy she was that Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift beat her out.
Citing the music video's pop culture impact and VEVO record (which was eventually beaten by Swift), Minaj said if she were an "other" artist, her clip would have gotten nominated.
Read some of her tweets below:
Bad Blood featured a ton of skinny white models including Cara Delevingne, Lily Aldridge, and Karlie Kloss. Swift then responded to Minaj's tweet and Minaj fired back.
According to EW, “Bad Blood” racked up over 20 million views in its first 24 hours on Vevo — a record. It bested Minaj’s record for “Anaconda,” which racked up 19.6 million views in the first day.
We think Taylor is missing the point on the situation, obviously. Is her last tweet weird way to reconcile her previous tweet? Yes. But Taylor doesn't know how to stay mad unless she's writing one of her notorious rip-your-heart-medlies.
I think the best thing for Taylor to do would be to apologize and move on. Nicki's argument is extremely valid and we're interested to see how MTV reacts.
