Today Oakland rapper Philthy Rich shares "King Jack," an emotional single honoring late Bay Area legend The Jacka. "King Jack" features verses from Freeway and Paul Wall, along with piano-ridden production by AK47.
“He was very humble and genuine - that's very hard to find in people these days," Philthy Rich tells Noisey of The Jacka in their premiere post. "He was one of the realest n*ggas I ever met and one of the only rappers I respected. I got 'King Jack' tatted on my back right beside 2Pac and Mac [Dre]... Rest in peace The King 'til we meet again..."
Additionally, Freeway spoke on The Jacka, noting, "He had a great heart - I seen him give a person the shirt off his back with my own eyes. He really cared about all his friends he was striving to be a good Muslim and he was a great rapper! He will truly be missed."
