One of Manny's most memorable moments was facing off against the pound for pound undefeated egotistical Floyd Mayweather. Regardless of losing the bout, the Filipino slugger help to make history with the fight generating more than $410 million in revenue. The fight that took place on May 2nd, 2015, at the MGM Grand Arena was one that plenty of people watched via pay-per-view, and in person for what was to be the greatest fight in boxing. Unfortunately do to an undisclosed injury Pacquiao was unable to use his caliber offense to dethrone the defensive/counter punching Mayweather.
Manny looks to collide with Jesse Vargas on November 8th for the WBO Welterweight championship belt. Vargas who has built his name off on slugging and having a strong chin will face his biggest task thus far. The young phenomenal talent of Vargas will go again the hard punching, and staggering offense of Pacquiao. Some consider the fight to be interesting, but thus far from the overall boxing world feel as though it will be another shutout win for Manny. Will Vargas be able to give a stunning upset?
