As NYFW continues, MarcJacobs took a left turn with his latest Fall 2016 Ready-to-Wear collection featuring finger waves, platforms, and Lady Gaga. He played on the idea of darkness, and muted colors, confusing and expanding our assumptions of traditional womenswear. Marc Jacobs broke all the rules, using spring silhouettes with futuristic yet Victorian shapes which helped to create balance. There is a Gothic inspiration that speaks loudly. His artistic taste became more defined. The clothing became more sophisticated and the show evolved with feathers, fur, suede, leather and tweed fabrics, solidifying his clean lines, execution and role as a fashion mogul. His Fall 2016 collection is a journey to watch and a vision to experience. Check out the video below and be sure to catch the entire Fall 2016 collection here.
