Armed with effortless swag, Black EL delivers his fittingly super-wavy new video for “EL EL Cool Che” that he says is “an ode to the Bad Boy videos of the ‘90s.”

Think of the grandiosity of the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize” (sans high-speed chases in reverse) mixed with the grayscale cool of “Flava In Ya Ear.” Then, add in EL’s innately chill approach to the mic, and you’ve got these sharp new visuals from the New York-by-way-of-Boston artist.

The video was directed by Max Relax, who shot everything you see here using GoPros and drones. That means cinematic aerial views mixed with actual footage from the air, documenting EL’s lil’ helicopter trip while his favorite girl cruises around in a sleek BMW i8.

Of course, it’s all soundtracked by the refreshingly laid-back track itself, which was produced by frequent collaborators Durkin, SXMPLELIFE, and Victor Radz. The track first appeared back in August as part of his ongoing campaign of loosie releases, which also includes the more recent“Question.”
