Colorado Cannabis shops reached a mega milestone in 2016, marking a historic moment for legalized cannabis by selling over $1.1 Billion worth of marijuana so far this year. Last year, sells were projected to reach $1Billion, but fell shy at an impressive $996 million. 

Colorado was the first American state to legalize recreational marijuana in 2012 and was able to hit all time highs. According to stats, $82.8 million worth of marijuana was raised at retailers in the month of October with an additional $35 million in medical sales. 


If the globe jumped on board, sources predict a massive increase in revenue from a humble $1 Billion to $22 Billion in total annual sales by the year 2020.
