During Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s performance at the Hillary Clinton rally in Cleveland, Trump attacks the two artists for their use of language. He claims that by the time they finished their performance, after using “filthy” words, there were very few people left in the audience when Hillary came to speak. Trump has not only offended and criticized Michelle Obama, but he has now taken shots at the Queen B.
Whether you choose the ballot or the bullet, the day is around the corner. Voting polls will be opening tomorrow in Philadelphia, and regardless of how you feel about the running candidates, only one of them will run for the next four years. Queen B, Beyoncé votes Hillary.
As a pro believer in women’s rights and empowerment, during her stage performance, Beyoncé said,
“Eight years ago, I was so inspired to know that my nephew, a young black child, could grow up knowing his dreams could be realized by witnessing a black president in office. And now, we have the opportunity to create more change. I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our country”.
Many people feel insecure about the idea of voting for either candidate because of the possibility of what may actually happen in office. Some people fear that what is said and promised to them prior to the election and the decisions that will actually be made post election will not match. No single person is perfect and no single person’s past is free of flaw. Sure we are all at fault of certain mistakes, but what matters now is the present and future. While nobody can replace President Barack Obama, what he has done or the hearts he has touched, it is up to the people to determine who they will elect to run from 2016- 2020.
