Police officer, Tim Loehmann's actions were "justified" as he shot 12-year-old Tamir Rice dead for holding a toy gun.

According to The New York Times, retired F.B.I. Agent Kimberly A.Crawford, read a report stating that the officer had no idea of knowing whether the gun was real or fake.

She gave a statement saying,

“The question is not whether every officer would have reacted the same way, rather, the relevant inquiry is whether a reasonable officer, confronting the exact same scenario under identical conditions could have concluded that deadly force was necessary"

Lamar Sims, Prosecutor from Ohio also gave a statement saying,"There can be no doubt that Rice’s death was tragic and, indeed, when one considers his age, heartbreaking.” He then added,"Officer Loehmann’s belief that Rice posed a threat of serious physical harm or death was objectively reasonable as was his response to that perceived threat.”
