Back in October, Jay Z announced he'd be teaming up with Spike TV for a six-part documentary series to publicize the tragic story of Kalief Browder - a wrongfully imprisoned teenager who took his own life shortly after his struggle with mental illness as he entered the real world three years later.

Now, a trailer has surfaced giving us a first look at the emotionally charged series. Featuring rare first person accounts, reenactments of key moments in Browder's life, archival footage and interviews with family members and close friends.

Watch the trailer above and look out for Time: The Kalief Browder Story debuting in January.
