LeBron James is not just the best basketball player in the world, but also one of the few players in any professional sport who actually decides how his team roster is built.
According to reports, the Cleveland Cavaliers made sure they got James' permission before trading away Cavaliers guard (and longtime friend of james) Mike Miller to the Portland Trail Blazers.
While this may seem like odd behavior, little things like this show that Cleveland is committed to never watching James leave in free agency again. After all, many believe the Miami Heat coldly parting ways with Miller by way of the amnesty clause played a role in James deciding to return to Cleveland. In basketball, as in business, details are everything.
