Having a random food craving, but you don't want to leave the house? No worries. Postmates is the Uber of food. The service, which was founded in 2011 uses a mobile app to receive orders and dispatch delivery drivers. Users are able to either enter their location, allow the Postmates app to use their current location, or select their city in a list where the service is available.

Postmates allows for deliveries from a plethora of fast food places as well as some stores you wouldn't expect. Ace Hardware and MAC Cosmetics are two of those stores. This service is perfect for the man or woman on the go. A busy mom who doesn't have time to stop and buy her must have cosmetic products or a business man who is plagued by daily meetings could have his tools delivered directly to his doorstep.

The app also has its own convenience store with a list of products similar to that of CVS or Rite Aid. So when you forget an important ingredient at the market and wish someone else could go and pick it up for you just remember, there's an app for that. Available for download on Apple and Android devices.
