Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane, 26, is reportedly being investigated for a sexual assault.
The alleged assault happened last weekend in Buffalo and the victim has undergone tests including a rape kit. No charges in the case have been filed as of yet.
It's also been reported that Roseanne Johnson, chief of the Erie County District Attorney’s Special Victims Bureau, is the prosecutor assigned to the case.
Kane led the Blackhawks with 11 goals and 23 points in their title run and was second on the team with 27 goals and 64 points in the regular season.
Kane faced an assault charge back in 2009 along with his cousin over a taxi fare.
The Blackhawks issued the following statement:
"We are aware of the matter and are in the process of gathering information. It would inappropriate to comment further at this time."
