Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the first film in history to break $100 million USD on opening day, and is projected to amass $250 Million USD for the weekend, beating Jurassic World's $208 Million USD.

Avatar currently carries the torch as being the biggest grossing domestic movie at a massive$760 million USD. It's looking like The Force Awakens may also pass that record too, having it showing in 14,000 3D theaters in Canada and the U.S. Avatar only had 3,100 when it debuted in 2009.

History in the making.
