From playing drums in church to producing tracks on the latest Kanye West album, if you persevere long enough with anything, you get to see life come full circle. Charlie Heat is living proof of that.
Last night at Philly nightclub Coda, fans and supporters got to witness New Jersey native and G.O.O.D. Music producer Charlie Heat showcase his brilliance and it was nothing short of inspiring. Done in collaboration with Philadelphia music incubator RECPhilly, the Charlie Heat & Friends concert treated a spellbound audience to special guest performances from key Charlie Heat collaborators like Young Savage and Ant Beale.
A creative stage set-up featuring a live projection screen, band and DJ set the tone for a special night. With cameos from notable producers Mike Zombie (Drake "Started From The Bottom;" DJ Khaled, "They Don't Love You No More") and Critacal (Fabolous, "Doin' It Well"), the concert was also a showcase of some of the best up-and-coming musical talent the area has to offer the world.
Perhaps most notably, Charlie Heat showcased special moments of what is quickly becoming one of the most impressive catalogs in hip-hop right now. From "WDYW" by Lil' Uzi Vert and A$AP Ferg to "All Day" by Kanye West and "Facts (Charlie Heat Version)" from Kanye West's recent The Life of Pablo, a set of Charlie Heat tracks could cause global warming. With the energy and the temperature throughout the packed venue through the roof, listeners also got to hear fellow The Life of of Pablo collaborator Desiigner and Lil' Uzi Vert's new upcoming track for the first time ever.
As the tag on his beats says, "Good work, Charlie!" Charlie Heat is here to stay and is just getting warm.
