R&B singer from Louisville, Kentucky, Bryson Tiller, sits down with the crew at Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning.

Tiller opens up to listeners about various hardships he faced from sleeping in his car to working at UPS and Papa John’s. Now he’s one of the hottest new artists with a debut album, Trapsoul, which is still on the Billboard charts and having a completely sold out tour in the first week tickets went on sale.

Bryson Tiller, also known as Pen Griffey explains how hard it was to pass up on the opportunity to sign with Drake and OVO. “That was probably one of the worst days of my life when I signed to RCA... I'm happy now... It felt like fate that I was supposed to sign with OVO,” he told Hot 97. “I remember a few days before I signed, 40 had called me and was like, ‘Yo man, this is actually a great deal. I haven’t seen a deal like this in a long time.’ He thought that I should take it.”

Throughout the rest of the interview, Tiller talks about how his life changed after his daughter was born, his fashion choices and style inspiration, and how strange it is for him to accept his growing fame. He even said it was unreal yet weird to have Rihanna and Justin Bieber support him at his concerts. Bryson Tiller even expresses his interest in branching into TV and the videogame industry. I am excited to say that it seems like the young Pen Griffey is here to stay. Listen to the full Hot 97 interview with Bryson Tiller above.
