Common's new album Black America Again is finally here, counting down the rappers eleventh studio album to date. The album is a 15-track living diary featuring John Legend, Steve Wonder, Bilal, Marsha Ambrosius, and more. Hit singles, "Home," "Black America Again," and "Letter to the Free" are also featured on the album, the latter of which was used to convey the message of Ava Duvernay's Netflix documentary 13th.
"I was inspired by people enjoying art," he said about the album in a recent interview with Complex, noting that the industry's embrace of Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper helped give him confidence that his style was still relevant today. "That opened a lane for me because that's what type of artist I am."
