Thanks to the success of Straight Outta Compton, rumors of future hip-hop biopics have been at an all-time high. Legends from Master P to Wu-Tang Clan have expressed interest in having their life story shown on the big screen. Now Big Boi has thrown Outkast into the conversation.
During a recent Reddit AMA session with Phantogram to promote their upcoming Big Grams EP, a fan directly asked Big Boi if there were any chance of a biopic coming to fruition. He responded: "Me and 'Dre were just discussing this over Labor Day. Stay tuned."
Back in 2014 Andre 3000 seemed to be on board with the possibility of a biopic. In fact, he wanted it to be a "full comedy" having Kevin Hart play Big Boi and Leonardo DiCaprio as himself.
Needless to say if a movie of the dynamic duo does receive the green light, it will be a box-office success. Who knows, maybe a new album is on the way too.
