The Hip Hop world woke up to heartbreaking news on Sunday as Coke Boyz artist, Chinx was shot and murdered in his vehicle at 4 a.m. in Queens, New York. Various artists and hip hop enthusiast mourned the death of the rapper throughout the day via social media.
Dream Chasers and MMG member Meek Mill decided to take his condolences a step further as he quickly recorded a tribute track called, "Miss My Dawgs", sending love not only to Chinx but his beloved artist Lil Snupe who was gunned down back in 2013.
The tribute features Travi$ Scott and Strap.
As well as a touching and emotional tribute, "Miss My Dawgs" provides a message to the young teens who's lives are in the streets.
Alongside Strap, the MMG artist strongly voiced his objection and frustration with the murders going on in the streets as Travi$ Scott features on the hook. In the track Meek raps:
"They killed Chinx Drugz in his own city
They killed Lil Snupe in his own city
Wonder why I don't be in my own city
I don't know if niggas gone clap for me or gone kill me"
This is just after Meek released a freestyle and video to Drake's "Energy," this weekend as a preview to his upcoming album, DWMTM.
