"NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES": The Return of N.E.R.D - hypefresh. | Exploring Culture.
The funk-rock band makes it's way back onto the music scene with it's new single, "Lemon", featuring Rihanna

Seven years since the release of their last album, N.E.R.D surprised fans with a new dance single entitled "Lemon" featuring Rihanna.

Not only did the group release a song, but Pharrell and the team blessed us with a music video that features the Bad Gal and Mette Towley from Pharrell's dance group, The Baes.

The video opened with a visual of Rihanna shaving what appears to be Towley's head.

After watching Towley go through the drastic transformation, the video transitions to her doing a freestyle dance which appears to be heavily inspired by Kanye's "Fade" video featuring Teyana Taylor.

Williams has been dropping hints of a potential comeback in a few interviews.

Many fans have also spotted the message "NO_ONE EVER REALLY DIES" which is the acronym of the group, on billboards and scattered throughout social media.

The release of "Lemon" came out at what almost seemed as perfect timing since the band was scheduled to perform as headliners at the 2017 Complexcon.
