Everyone remembers Super Bowl XXXVIII, well more so the halftime show than the actual game.

The New England Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers with a game-winning field goal, but that was completely overshadowed by Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction at the end of her halftime performance. All of this could have been avoided had Outkast agreed to perform at the halftime show.

In a recent interview with Dan Le Batard, Big Boi said that the NFL asked the duo to perform, but decided to pass on the offer after the league told them they couldn't perform "Hey Ya!" and "The Way You Move" in full.

“He [Andre 3000] didn’t want to cut the songs,” Big Boi said. “He wanted to perform both songs in full and they didn’t give us enough time to do it so we passed.”

Maroon 5 will be this year's Super Bowl halftime performers, but hopefully the NFL will invite Outkast back for next year.
