IVAV (4 Against 5) recording artist Ty Brasel finds road to success with new EP Destined For Greatness (Side A) which debuted with The Source today.
Ty picks up where he left off on his last project Young T. Destined For Greatness (Side A) is a 7-track EP that highlights his road to redemption. On the song, “The Game” he raps, “When I was young I would pop Ace of Spades/ Money on the floor and the drugs in my veins/ If I die in vein wouldn’t that be a shame/ But If I leave the game would they love me the same.” His lyrics illustrate the personal growth he’s had since breaking into the rap game. Anticipation for the EP grew when Ty released the music videos for “Praying Hands” and “Phoenix In Exile.” Both visuals have combined for nearly half a million views on his YouTube channel.
Destined For Greatness (Side A) is Ty’s most vulnerable release to-date. He tells The Source, “‘Destined For Greatness’ is a concept album about Satans war for my soul. It takes you on the journey of my story, through all of the ups and downs, good and evil that life brings. It’s composed of 7 unique, yet cohesive songs that paint the picture of the constant war in my mind, and the triumph that prevails. If l had to describe this project in 3 words, it would be: vulnerable, therapeutic, & introspective. l hope you find guidance & healing in the process of listening to ‘Destined For Greatness (Side A)’.”
After inking his first record deal in December with IVAV Records (Curb/Word Records’ hip-hop division), Ty has put himself in position to become a prominent figure within the hip-hop community with Destined For Greatness (Side A). The EP features other standout tracks like “444+333 (God Is Perfect)” and “Shooting Star.”
