The Lamborghini Miura gets all the credit these days, but the Mangusta was arguably the most important ride to lay down the foundation for the modern supercar.
Only 401 were built. Only 250 remain. What happened to them? Who knows!
But, we do know that the 1969 De Tomaso Mangusta is a rare relic to be marveled. Aside from the recently restored exterior paint, the car is entirely original from the Ford 5.0L V8 engine all the way to the electronics, tires and "mouse hair" dash.
It is a true gem of a sports car and we hope it continues to receive the respect it deserves. Check out the gallery above and to learn more, visit here.
