Lately I've been so busy that I didn't realize Men's Fashion Week was already in full commencement. Balancing a 9-5 and a 5-9 isn't easy, leaving me far removed from all things important, like Kanye's "diss" track, Jaden Smith's Loius Vuitton skirt and the ultimate Fashion Week. I stumbled upon the first wave of designers unintentionally on a Friday night with wine, stalking Vogue.com. To my surprise, an article pertaining to the outlandish evolution of Men's Wear titled, "Lets Hear it for the Boys: Menswear's 10 Greatest Runway Moments" was waving at me like a warning sign. That’s when it dawned on me that London has already kicked off Fashion Week with impressive Fall/Winter 2016 collections from Astrid Anderson, Agi & Sam, Matthew Miller, Oliver Spencer and others like Craig Green, MAN and Nasir Mazhar, all setting the bar for this year's wider and anticipated collections. You can expect the classic menswear aesthetics mixed with minimalist ideas as well as over sized, baggy pants, cropped jackets, mix prints and textures to floor length top coats with innovative detail. With all of the rules surrounding menswear, we have entered an era that is not confined to a normal style of dress. Designers have taken a vow to expand and reinterpret, challenge and elevate our perception of clothing through unconventional methods. Hopefully this Fashion Week will not disappoint. Stay tuned for our favorite moments of Men's Fashion Week 2016.
