Only Watch, a charity auction house, just had a one-of-a-kind Steel Patek Philippe 5016A watch sold for a little over $7,250,000 USD.

This makes the watch #1 for the most expensive watch all time!

The timepiece is sleek and chic with its stainless steel exterior, blue enamel dial, and gold numerals. As an additional feature, the watch has a perpetual calendar with a retrograde hand, which flies back to the 1st of the month once it reaches the 28th, 29th, 30th, or 31st.

If you look closer, you can see that there is a moon-phase display engrained into the bottom of the watches face.

I can understand why someone would spend that much on a classic.
